Activity-Friendly Environments allow people to take the active option first. Activity-Friendly Environment infrastructure, settings and services allow and encourage people of all ages and abilities to make an active choice. GetActive! Penticton would like to explore strategies on how to make Penticton more “active-friendly” by formally assessing our current build environment and making recommendations for improvement. Work on this initiative will begin in 2008.

BC Healthy Communities
BC Healthy Communities (BCHC) is a new initiative that aims to increase the capacity of communities in British Columbia to create more supportive environments and address issues leading to the improved health of their citizens. BCHC promotes and supports a "big picture" approach to fostering human development and well-being in our communities.
