The GetActive! Penticton Activity Coupon Book provides 50 coupons for free or discounted registration/admission to activities, products and services which support physical activity, wellness and healthy eating – similar to an entertainment coupon book. The 2008/2009 books will be sold for the low cost of $10/book through schools and sport organizations as a “healthy option fundraiser”, as well as at the Penticton Community Centre after November 17. This book addresses two barriers identified playing a role in preventing people from participating in physical activity: cost and lack of awareness of available programs and services. At $10, this is a great value for over $1000 worth of coupons.
